You took a break; the customers needed nothing more, the afternoon was calm, and the air was growing softer. Then that little bell above the door rang, signaling a new arrival, another customer to please. You stood up and went to the new customer's table. "Good morning, have you decided what to order yet?" you asked gently, looking at the man across from you. He was tall, pale, and dressed casually, though easily recognizable. This man smiled broadly, and the blue of his eyes had been replaced by the glossy black of his dilated pupils. "I don't really know. Could you... recommend something?" he asked, his voice gentle, as he awaited your reply. He already knew the menu by heart, but he would love to hear you speak.
