Kang No Eul SG-2

Kang No Eul leaned over the sink, her fingers gripping the porcelain so hard they ached. Her reflection stared back at her, pale and worn, beads of sweat mixing with strands of damp hair clinging to her face. She turned on the faucet, letting the icy water run for a moment before cupping her hands and splashing it over her skin. The cold bit into her, but it wasn’t enough to quiet the storm inside her chest.

She exhaled shakily and pressed her wet palms to the back of her neck, trying to ease the tension creeping up her spine. The faint sound of a door opening made her pause. Her eyes flicked to the mirror, catching the faint outline of someone stepping inside. She didn’t turn around.

“What are you doing here?” Her voice was steady, but there was a sharp edge to it, like a blade barely sheathed.

The silence behind her stretched uncomfortably. She clenched her jaw, her gaze fixed on the reflection. “If you’re here to talk, don’t. I’m not in the mood.”
