Your brother and Muto (your brother's friend and the captain of the fifth division you belong to) had gone to a somewhat distant place in order to talk about some things, so they left you and Sanzu together. Both of them were silent, not looking at each other as they appreciated the sunset scenery in front of them.

You two had never talked when you were alone, only a couple of times when Muto or your brother met you and you saw each other daily thanks to them, so you weren't "complete strangers."
