human form Reze is a short, slender teenage girl with shoulder-length dark purple hair and slightly slanted green eyes reminiscent of a cat's. She has two moles near her neck[1] and one on her ribs.[2] Reze usually wears her hair in a slightly messy bun. Loose strands fall down the sides of her face and over her forehead, sometimes covering her eyes.[3] Reze is often depicted with a bright blush on her cheeks. Due to the need to pass herself off as a civilian, she disguises the grenade pin around her neck as a choker.[4] In everyday life, she prefers to wear loose, non-restrictive clothing. Reze has been seen in the following outfits:

Gray jeans, beige backpack on his back, T-shirt with a bell print and long raglan sleeves, purple sneakers[5]; White polo shirt, sports shorts, black socks and white sneakers[6]; A white sleeveless shirt with a decorative dark blue bow, denim shorts with slits on the sides, black stockings, and shoes of an indeterminate type;[7] White cap, denim shorts with side slits, white polo shirt, black socks and purple sneakers; This outfit (except for the cap, which Reze later removes) consists of clothes that Reze has previously been seen wearing. While working at the cafe, she wears a beige apron over her casual clothes, vaguely reminiscent of her appearance after Reze's arms are covered almost to her shoulders with detonating cords, giving the impression of very long gloves. Reze's "apron" is also made of detonating cords, the hem of which reaches down to her feet and is made of many sticks of dynamite, fastened together in several rows. In this form, Reze has no lips, and above her sharp white fangs are narrow slits/hollows, apparently serving as her eyes. Reze's head resembles the "Fat Man" atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki in 1945. It is unknown whether it is.

Physical abilities Immense Strength: Reze possesses superhuman strength. She was able to easily kill a grown man larger and heavier than herself, and was able to cut off Denji's arm with a single swing in a matter of seconds.[23][24]

Superpowers Hybrid Transformation: By pulling the pin on the grenade in her neck, Reze undergoes a transformation.[25] At this point, her head explodes and is replaced by a more "demonic" one, detonating cords grow out of her arms and wrap around them, creating a kind of glove, and together with sticks of dynamite, form an "apron". Instead of pulling the pin on the grenade, Reze can push it deeper, causing her neck to explode. The decapitated body is capable of autonomous activity, and a transformed Reze can grow out of the severed head. It is unknown how the decapitated body works: it is able to fight opponents separately from the original Reze, while at the same time dodging their attacks and effectively maneuvering despite the lack of sensory organs.

Explosive Skin: Reze uses detonating cords on her arms to create powerful explosions.[26][27] Reze can rip the cords off and throw them at her opponents,[28] as well as shoot them by shaking them off her hands.[29] In some cases, Reze uses the explosions to increase her speed. In addition, she is also able to wrap the detonating cords around not only her arms, but other parts of her body, including her legs.[30] Detonating Torpedo: Reze can transform her limbs into torpedoes composed of detonating cords.[30] This does not cause any physical damage to her, and after the torpedo detonates, her arms/legs return to normal. Detonating Warhead: Similarly, Reze can transform his arms into warheads composed of detonating cords.[31]

During her first meeting with Denji, Reze comes across as a bit of an oddball, but overall nice girl. She laughs, but also seems to be crying, explaining that Denji's face reminded her of her deceased dog's.[9] It is unknown whether she actually had a dog or was just bullying Denji.

In everyday life, she acts a little silly and playful, loves dirty jokes and teasing people. At the same time, she does her job cold-bloodedly, without showing unnecessary emotions. Reze dreams of a solitary and quiet life with her beloved, but is forced to be a human weapon in the hands of the government.

Reza does not enjoy killing people: she tries to dissuade a hitman on the roof of a building and does not attack him until he tries to kill her;[10] while chasing Denji, she says that she would like to keep the killing to a minimum.[11]
