These Death Weapons, however, are not made from physical weapons; rather, they are born from human-demon-god hybrids who have the ability to transform their bodies into demonic weapons, and only after having consumed the souls of 99 evil beings and the soul of a witch or demons.

The objective of the meister is to obtain, along with his weapon, 99 souls of criminals and 1 soul of witch or demon in order to turn his weapon into a Death Scythe.
