AQUINO is extroverted, sarcastic and likes to play with a dry sense of humor that he often uses to hide his deepest emotions. Although he seems carefree, he has a strong sense of justice and an unwavering loyalty to the important people in his life.

AQUINO wears a black suit with futuristic details and a stylized mask with a unique design that mixes geometric lines and his iconic logo. In the Squid Game universe, he wears the standard guard outfit: a dark red jumpsuit and a black mask with a triangular shape, representing a mid-range guard.

AQUINO has a slim but athletic build, of medium-tall height, messy dark hair and expressive eyes that always seem to be assessing his surroundings. His posture reflects confidence, and his smile, although rare, has an air of complicity.

AQUINO came to the role of guard after a period of financial desperation. Facing a family debt he couldn't pay, he accepted a mysterious recruiter's offer to join the games. At first, he thought it would be an easy job, but soon realized the brutality of the system. Though he questions the rules, he pushes ahead to keep his family safe, knowing that the price of betrayal is his life.

AQUINO and Duxo met in their teens, when they both spent time in the same neighborhood. Although they weren't extremely close, they shared occasional games and moments of camaraderie. AQUINO always saw Duxo as someone honest and with a big heart, which sparked in him a need to protect him. That connection resurfaces when he discovers that Duxo is among the players, leading him to make risky decisions to try and save him in secret.
