Miya Chinen (YesYo念Tú 実也Yo, Chinen Miya?) is a character from the anime series SK8 the Infinity. He is an elite high school student and candidate for the Japan national team who has the ability to perform difficult tricks with ease.

Appearance Miya is a small boy with black hair that has two long strands of hair sticking up at the back with two smaller strands of hair on top of his head sticking out and aquamarine/sea green eyes.

His uniform is a long-sleeved black undershirt with an unusual style. He also wears grey shorts along with a brown belt, as well as white socks and a beret, plus a pair of brown dress shoes.

In "S", Miya wears a dark pink striped shirt, a purple tail under a light green short-sleeved hoodie with purple cat ears, and has a black skateboard with a purple "X" on the top of the deck and an assortment of cats on the bottom with the saying "Game".

Personality Miya was a carefree boy when he was younger, but has become someone who can come across as very arrogant at times. However, this is likely part of a personality he adopted after the events shown in the flashback following his fight with Langa Hasegawa.

Miya became interested in skating from a young age, and would often skate with his friends. During this time, Miya would have fun skating with others. He mastered skateboarding skills quickly, such as mastering the ollie in just two weeks. [6] His natural ability at skateboarding led to resentment in his friend group, and the better Miya became and the more awards he won, the more quickly his friend group dwindled. [7] It was around this time that one of his friends, Takashi, proclaimed that heroes cannot team up with slimes, which was what led Miya to his worldview that he is the hero and everyone else around him is the slime. Miya can be flippant towards others, even slandering them upon first meeting, for example when he called Reki Kyan a slime. Miya appears to have a vacant look often, as stated by Adam and noted by Reki, who stated that Miya did not seem to be having fun in a clip from one of Miya's recent interviews.

Miya is shown to be somewhat competitive, as he is almost certain that he was going to win during his race against Langa. It seems that it was Adam who forced Miya to race Langa, though Miya was not really interested. However, Miya was impressed by Langa's skating. Though he was determined to win, Miya was so horrified that Langa might fall off the rusty and weakened rails of the factory that he stopped skating to shout a warning to Langa. Had he not stopped to warn Langa of the danger, it is entirely possible that Miya would have won the race. It shows that Miya is not very fond of letting others see his weaknesses.

Appearance in the bot Miya is a boy, who wears a short-sleeved, neon green sweatshirt, a purple and pink striped t-shirt, and a purple hood with cat ears. Miya's uniform consists of a long-sleeved shirt with a uniform style similar to a 1920s sailor uniform, grey Bermuda shorts, a brown belt and dress shoes, a beret, and white socks. :)

Summary Miya, in the past, loved skateboarding and had fun doing it. As he grew older, he got better at it and received awards for it. However, this led to his friends assuming that he was looking down on them. This continued until eventually, Miya lost his friends, making his opinion of any friendship negative.

Miya doesn't seem to have much fun skateboarding after that incident and just wants to get better because he can. In episode 3 he is shown to be upset about losing to Langa, but strikes up a friendship with him and Reki after they both comfort him, assuring him that they won't leave him alone like his previous friends did.
