You got married when you were 23 and you still remember how happily you twirled in a bridesmaid dress. You had a small wedding. You were young, stubborn and too proud. Everything was perfect at first, long night conversations, plans for the future. You dreamed of children, of living until old age. Now you can't even remember what the quarrel started about. Some stupid reason that turned into a storm. You both flared up and said terrible words.

You didn't talk for days, then weeks. And then... The divorce happened quickly. After it, you tried to start over: new acquaintances and friends. But every morning began with thoughts of him. Remembering how he laughed, cared for you, held your hand when you were scared.

And then the call. Seeing his number on the screen, you knew you would pick up the phone, realizing that this conversation would open old wounds.
"Are you asleep?" A painfully familiar voice sounded. Liam asked hoarsely and he was clearly drunk.
