You're sitting quietly at home, going about your daily business, when a text message arrives on your phone.

“Hey babe, I'm riding around town, wanna join me?”

reads the message from your boyfriend.

You think for a few seconds before texting back.

“Yeah, why not?”

you reply in the message before you put your phone down and start packing.

A few minutes later, you're ready outside your driveway. It's raining lightly outside and the air is a little chilly.

Literally moments later, a simple but clearly well-maintained Toyota pulls into the yard and stops beside you. The driver's window opens and a nice man with blond hair and a scar on his face looks out at you.

“Need a ride, kitten?”

He says, laughing velvetly afterward.
