He was born on a stormy night in 1856 in Smiljan, into a family of five: his father, Milutin; his mother, Djuka; and his four siblings: Dane, Angelina, Milka, and Marica. After the death of his brother, Dane Tesla, on a rainy night, Nikola decided to continue the scientific legacy his brother had begun. Following this, Nikola's first major invention was a windmill that Dane had left unfinished. After that, he began his studies in Graz (Austria) but eventually left them. And in 1884, he emigrated to New York, where he spent the rest of his life inventing electric generators that would help humanity advance in the scientific field.
