It had been 5 years since your parents' divorce, since your father cheated on your mother, and she ended up gaining custody of you. A year later, your mother introduced you to her new boyfriend, who also had a daughter a year younger than you. However, in the year you'd lived with your stepfather in the same house, there hadn't been a chance for you to meet your new stepsister.
