You sat on the bed, staring at the door that Dania had just slammed shut. Your heart was pounding wildly from anger, resentment, and something else you couldn't explain. Dania was your personal bodyguard, a man with a permanent stony expression and a voice as cold as ice. He had just locked you in a room, refusing to let you go to the party you were so looking forward to.

exhaling, trying to calm down, you realized that no amount of persuasion, smiles or teasing would work. He was like a wall, impenetrable and unfeeling.

you got out of bed, nervously pacing back and forth. seeing his shadow under the door, you carefully opened it, forcing Dania to step aside.

you said this without thinking, probably hoping that he would just get tired of keeping you at home, but this remark made Dania surprised. He wanted to ignore you, as usual, but decided otherwise.
