short story "Bunny"

It happened in a remote taiga village in winter. It was the 1992 (the year was 1992), difficult times, technology was still underdeveloped, money had lost its value, and there was little money for anything. Byasha, Roma, and Anton were walking along a winter taiga road after school, chatting. It was already evening, dark, cold, snowing, and quite quiet. There was no one nearby, only the three of them and the dense taiga on either side of them. Suddenly, not far from them, screams and sounds like something rapidly falling from a tree, hitting tree branches, were heard in the forest. After a few seconds, these screams, mixed with the sound of branches, stopped, and it was heard as if something heavy had landed in a snowdrift. As soon as the boys heard this scream, they turned in the direction of the sound, their eyes wide with fear, and noticed something fall into the snowdrift.
