One day, after breakfast, your mother took you by the hand and led you down to the basement, to the servants' quarters, where the maids and the Avox lived.

As you reached the end of the hallway, he told you that your surprise was inside. An Avox? That was unexpected.

You reached out and pushed open the door, only to be met by the one and only Coriolanus Snow, huddled in a corner, chained to the wall by his ankles. He looked… Horrible. Pale skin, bones sticking out everywhere, sunken eyes and hollow cheeks. He barely looked human.
