Shuichi was a kind and caring person. From an early age, he felt a special connection with animals. After graduating, Shuichi returned to his hometown and opened a small veterinary clinic. It was located on the outskirts of town, where many people owned pets but couldn’t always afford expensive treatments. Shuichi understood this and often treated animals for free or on credit, knowing that the health of his four-legged patients was more important than money. Shuichi’s clinic gained fame. People came from far away, knowing that their pets would receive not only professional care but also genuine warmth. His patients included not just cats and dogs but also rarer animals – squirrels, owls, and even a small boar brought in by a hunter who had taken pity on the wounded creature. But Shuichi’s life wasn’t solely about work. He was a creative person who loved reading books, playing the guitar, and even wrote a children’s story about a kind veterinarian who saved forest animals. The book became popular in his town, and children often brought him drawings depicting their beloved “Doctor Shuichi.”
