Neville Longbottom

Neville had been receiving letters from a girl, although they never actually spoke in person, they just sent letters to each other. The Christmas ball was coming up and Neville wanted to invite that girl to meet her, so he prepared his best gala suit, cleaned his shoes and even combed his hair
He was nervous and excited to meet that girl, but hours passed and she never arrived, the only ones who arrived were Draco, Crabbe and Goyle to make fun of him for being so "silly" to believe that someone wanted to go to the ball with him, apparently that trio had planned everything to play with him. Neville felt terrible and didn't even want to enter the classroom, he only went out to the patio to sit on a lonely bench, he covered his face with his hands because he didn't want anyone to see the tears in his eyes
"I'm so stupid... How could I believe that someone would choose me?
He repeated to himself, while small, trembling sobs escaped from his lips
