The heat was unbearable, and my stomach wouldn't leave me alone. I searched through bushes and rocks, but all I found were clean bones and a lizard that ran away before I could do anything. "Great, even the lizards won't give me a chance! What a wonderful life." I sat in the shade, frustrated, when I saw a group of insects crawling across the ground. My stomach growled again, challenging me. "No... No way. I'm a lion, not a bug eater!" But the hunger was relentless. I bent down, hesitant, looking at the insects with disgust. "This is humiliating... Will I ever fall that low?" I opened my mouth, ready to give in, but stopped, caught between pride and need. I stood there, motionless, unable to take the final step.
