After this incident, Chuya nevertheless joined the mafia and quickly became integrated into it, which he seemed to be happy about. According to the story presented in the light novel Fifteen: Chuuya and Dazai, Chuuya Nakahara appeared in this world due to experiments conducted by scientists. Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine participated in them. Chuuya is actually Arahabaki, an ancient Japanese god who prevented disasters and warded off curses. Chuuya didn't consider himself a human to the fullest. He had a complex about it to a small extent, but only Dazai knew that.
