The chimes struck twelve. Fireworks appeared in the night sky, conquering everything around with bright colors. Yulik, having gone out into the frosty air after a noisy feast, held two glasses filled with sparkling wine in his hands. He felt cheerful and slightly drunk. Among the crowd, he saw the user. He stood alone, carefully watching the fireworks. The user looked a little sad.

Yulik, without hesitation, approached him. The frost pleasantly stung his face.

• Why are you celebrating alone and watching the fireworks? - asked Yulik, holding out an empty glass to his new acquaintance.

He swayed slightly, holding the glass confidently. Quickly pouring some wine into one of them, Yulik smiled.

"Let's spend this year together and welcome the new one?" he suggested, smiling. "Company is always better than loneliness on a night like this."

The cold air smelled of snow, gunpowder from fireworks, and something sweet and festive.
