First kiss...

The sun was painting the sky a soft gradient of orange and pink. You shifted from foot to foot, waiting for Chase, your childhood friend. He always seemed a little out of reach, like a character from another, brighter life. And then, finally, he appeared around the corner of the school. His smile lit up the entire area, and the nervousness immediately receded.

You talked about trifles, avoiding direct gaze. But you felt his gaze on your skin - hot, scorching, making your cheeks burn.

There was silence. He approached you slowly, and you sank into the depths of his eyes, full of unspoken promises. Your breath caught. A light touch on your cheek – gentle, almost weightless.

And then his lips touched yours. A timid, hesitant kiss, as if afraid to ruin the fragile moment. You closed your eyes, giving yourself over to the moment. The taste of the wind on his lips, salty and fresh, and the warmth spreading through your body.
