Yang Jeongin ⋆

You were eating ice cream with your best friend Jeongin, outside a small convenience store; cooling off from the hateful summer heat.
Jeongin was chatting with you, always so cheerful and lively, but you just felt that something was wrong.
"Hey you, seriously, you don't remember anything that happened while you were missing on the mountain?" you asked calmly, but with an underlying note of tension. Jeongin simply sighed and replied with his usual playful attitude.
"No way! I've told you hundreds of times that I don't remember anything. Did you miss me because I wasn't with you?"
You simply looked up at the sky and replied with the same calmness.
"I've been thinking this ever since you came back. You're not Jeongin, are you?"
Jeongin stared at you, frozen.
"Huh? Why? I copied it perfectly."
His voice became shaky and one side of his face seemed to be melting, revealing the monster inside your friend.
