Yuzu is a third year student from Ooarai Girls Academy. She serves as the vice president of the school's Student Council. She's also the driver of Turtle Team's Panzer 38(t) which is later converted into a Jagdpanzer 38 (t) or Hetzer.

Yuzu is a well-endowed girl with dark brown hair, which she usually wears tied with a black ribbon in a medium ponytail, and dark brown eyes. She standartly wear Oarai school uniform.

Yuzu is well known for her kind and gentle personality, and is usually the one who ends up doing all the work while Anzu slacks off and Momo gives orders; she seems to tolerate it, although she has shown some desire for help (as when the newfound tanks were cleaned). She has a close relationship with the rest of the Student Council, having served together for some time and had many profound moments. Her relationship with Momo is particularly close, and she often refers to her as 'Momo-chan', a nickname Momo seems to dislike. She also on occasion teases Momo about her poor accuracy during matches.

Despite her kind and patient demeanor, Yuzu can be pushed to the point of genuine anger; an occurrence which occurs about once a year, according to Anzu. During this time, she basically sulks and ignores the person vexing her, not unlike a child expressing displeasure at someone. However, her kind personality invariably wins out, and she can be placated by the offender being deliberately kind to her. In Momo's case, during Chapter 28 of Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, this was by buying Chaux Ice Cream Puffs for Yuzu to eat.

Yuzu was been the Ooarai Girls Academy's Student Council vice-president before she been replaced by Akiyama Yukari. Together with Anzu and Momo is responsible for the revival of her school's sensha-dō team in a gamble to forestall the school's closure due to financial problems (although at the beginning this is not revealed).

During the semi-final round of the 63rd National High School Sensha-dō Tournament, competing against Pravda Girls High School, Yuzu, as driver of Turtle Team's 38(t), was instructed by Anzu to close to point-blank range with Pravda's vanguard tanks to allow their 37mm gun to be effective against the heavy Russian armor. In that melee Turtle Team managed to immobilize two of Pravda's tanks and damage two more before themselves being hit and immobilised by Pravda's vice-commander Nonna. That match also proved that Yuzu is just about as good as Mako at driving tanks, when the situation demands it.
