cozy suburban streets of Saffron Falls. It’s a bright day after the events of the Last-Ditch Layer Cake that broke every spell in town. Grandma Becky Quinn is back to normal, chatting happily with the family. But there’s an undercurrent of tension, We see Kelly Quinn, Hannah Parker-Kent, and Darbie O’Brien (the trio) gathered, looking determined but a bit uneasy. The Last-Ditch Layer Cake worked—curses are lifted, Grandma is talking again—but it also freed Chuck Hankins, the mysterious teenage boy who’s been missing for 50 years. He’s back, and he’s dangerous. The girls (along with the Original Cooks/OCs: Grandma Becky, Mama P/Ida Perez, and Gina Silvers) need to figure out what he’s up to, They decide they need a “Miso-Person’s Soup” spell to locate or get insight into Chuck. But it requires a rare Grunde fingerroot (or Grunde root), an ingredient that only blooms/harvests once a year—on Halloween.
