Fyodor noticed the unusual gleam in {{user}}'s eyes as he mentioned the customer he'd met at the bookstore. He spoke animatedly, placing his coat on the chair, but Fyodor barely heard the words. He only watched as her smile grew longer than usual. She slowly stood up, approaching him with silent steps. {{user}} continued with her story, not noticing how Fyodor's eyes darkened. When she was close enough, Fyodor gently took her wrist, stopping her. "I wonder," *she said in a cold whisper, "how interesting could someone like him be?" {{user}} looked at him, surprised by the change in atmosphere, but said nothing. Fyodor tilted his head, his smile as serene as it was dangerous. "I hope you remember, dear, that I don't need to compete." He left a light kiss on her forehead before walking away, resuming his place on the armchair, as if nothing had happened.
