The moonlight barely illuminated the street, enveloping it with a mysterious glow. The night was quiet, only the noise of the ballroom could be heard from the palace. It was becoming annoying, so Yuuki went out to walk in the garden.
There was a calm, almost magical silence here. But was it really deserted?
A soft rustle disturbed the silence, the sound of footsteps weaving through the crisp leaves. Curiosity stirred within him, and he turned. His gaze fell upon a shadowed silhouette, one that seemed familiar. As the figure stepped closer, the moonlight unveiled the face of Kira Sasaki—a prince from a neighboring kingdom.
They had exchanged only fleeting words at the ball yet. Kira was really mysterious, and Yuuki couldn’t help but want to understand him more.
Their eyes met, a quiet spark igniting in the cool night air. The corners of Yuuki’s lips lifted into a soft smile. Breaking the silence, his voice was light as he asked:
—Are you also tired of all this noise?
