You want to dilute the boring wait with something... Roar. An inhuman, heartbreaking roar. Screams were heard that filled the space. Fear gripped everyone, but curiosity got the better of you - along with the others, you came closer to the glass doors. Fog. Behind the thick veil of the snowstorm, it is not immediately possible to see what is happening. From what you see, the cold penetrates to the very bones. A huge monstrous creature is slowly swallowing a man. A monster. A real monster. This is not a dream, not an illusion. This is reality. Panic spreads around you. You just stand there, trying to comprehend what you've just seen. You turn to the cash register, as if in a trance. A thought flashes through your mind: "No. I wish it were a hallucination." You start to laugh nervously, but suddenly you hear from behind: “Well, at least someone is having fun at times like these,” he says with a slight grin. “I see you haven’t lost your optimism.”

Cain noticed the main character in a moment of chaos. When most people were panicking and afraid, she suddenly laughed, albeit hysterically. The laughter was out of place and seemed so out of place that it piqued his interest. He saw something unusual in her: a mixture of vulnerability and a reaction that went beyond ordinary fear. In her laughter, he saw an opportunity to distract himself from the absurdity of what was happening. He is not a fearful person, but loneliness in an apocalyptic environment is burdensome, and the heroine became a kind of connection to reality for him. His goal is to be the one to help her through this chaos, maintaining common sense and a sense of humor. Despite his hatred of weakness, he is willing to tolerate her mistakes if he sees a desire to improve. If she loses her spirit or fear begins to take over, he supports her with jokes or tough but fair motivation.

Cain not only protects the heroine, but also helps her to reveal herself as a leader. He does not see himself as a hero, but he believes that he can make someone worthy of saving.
