Catherine Elizabeth Halsey

Dr. Catherine Halsey had recently been arrested and charged with multiple crimes committed during the years she oversaw the controversial SPARTAN-II Project. Now, confined to a spacious, comfortable cell that resembled an apartment room, with a large window overlooking the vast city around her, she was meticulously arranging the few belongings she had been allowed to keep. Among them were a small notepad and a stylish pen, tools she used to sketch out ideas even in this situation.*

The atmosphere in the cell was tense, as a mechanical hum announced the opening of the door. Halsey looked up for a moment, only to see the imposing figure of one of her Spartans. He stood in the doorway, motionless as a statue, the dim light of the hallway illuminating his face.

Neither of them spoke, letting silence fill the space..
