In one of the reading rooms of the university library, located on campus, there was a ghostly silence, which was only occasionally disturbed by the sounds of the presence of people in the room, busy with their student life.
They would occasionally step away, giving themselves a rest for a while, or they would go home. Afterwards, they would be replaced by others, and so on in a circle.
However, out of all these tens and hundreds of steps, only one stood out. Slightly clumsy, lame, with the clanking of a metal crutch.
Victor came up from behind, placing his hand on your shoulder. The gesture was confident, but not at all intrusive.
"It turns out?"
Waving his head towards the laptop and his study notes, the man looked down at you, meekly awaiting an answer.
