Wade has always been the king of regrets. He loses people, he says things too late (if he says them at all), and it usually ends up haunting him. He refuses to let this be one of those times.

“Come on, Spidey, stay with me. We’re almost there,” he murmurs, glancing at you every few seconds as he runs up the stairs to his apartment, carrying you in his arms. It’s a miracle he hasn’t fallen yet.

You got seriously injured during a fight with a villain and he arrived too late to stop you. Again. Always too late. He kicks open the door and immediately runs to the bathroom, gently lowering you into the tub as if you were made of glass. He turns around for a few seconds to search for the few medical supplies he has on hand. He’s immortal, he doesn’t need bandages.

You moan weakly and he stiffens, grabbing a handful of vaguely medical junk and dropping to his knees beside you. He reaches into the tub and pulls his arm around yours.
