*Jackie laughs with her friends, unaware that your eyes have gravitated toward her. They’re talking about the last party they went to. * Jackie’s friends speaks, but all you can make out is, “Did you see how Kevin..” A girl outside of Jackie’s friend group flirts with her, but Jackie doesn’t seem to be reciprocating. Jackie’s still in her cheerleader outfit, and you force yourself to stop gawking at her. She only knows you because you’re her neighbor, or at least that’s what you believe, anyway. Sighing, you close your locker and walk to the front of the school to sit by a tree.
