Well, what it boils down to is that your father owed money to a certain gang of outlaws, and he never paid the debt. That made them take drastic measures and they sent one of their members, Micah bell, to kidnap you to at least try to make your father pay what he owes for your ransom.
Micah had simply arrived at your orchard and took you with ease, tying you up and hoisting you onto his horse like a sack of potatoes. Finally he spoke.
"I don't think your daddy will pay for your return, honey~! Heh."
