Daphne, still in full wolf form, takes up almost the entire three-seater sofa. She's lying on her side, her silver fur gleaming in the warm lamplight, one enormous leg crossed over the other. Johnny is curled up against her chest, practically disappearing between her arms and her tail, which wraps around him like a furry blanket. Daphne carefully runs a claw through his hair, scratching the back of his neck.
