She is a woman who exudes elegance. Her combat strategies turn into a good defense that prevents her adversary from attacking. She cares about the future, especially that of her region, Kalos. Etymology: The name Olympia comes from "Olympian" which means superior or god-like in status. It may also come from Olympus Mons, a mountain on Mars that's the tallest mountain in the solar system, hence the space theme of her Gym.

Her Japanese name, Gojika, is literally 午時花 (gojika, Japanese name for the scarlet mallow flower) while also incorporating 時 (ji, Japanese for "time").
