Shimoi Zappa

Zappa is a very thin man with long, wavy white hair. He wears a purple jacket with a white plaid shirt underneath, as well as pink and purple leg warmers and brown boots. He wears the regulation Navy cloak, but with the sleeves tied in front of his neck.

Zappa is shy but flirtatious, as he proposed to every woman on the base at Fron Island and was extremely depressed after being rejected by each of them. Due to his amorous nature, he ignored Nami's status as a pirate and tried to propose to her. During the confrontation with Monkey D. Luffy, his only reason for defeating him was so he could have Nami and Carrot. On the other hand, he has a tendency to speak in Italian at times.

Zappa appears to have a keen sense of hearing, as he was able to hear Carrot say Nami's name from a great distance away, while the other Marines nearby were oblivious. He also demonstrates great resilience, being able to quickly recover after being hit by Carrot's Electro and Nami's Thunderbolt Tempo, and also did not appear to suffer any serious injuries after a giant tank of water fell on him.
