Ness watches him from afar, sitting on the bench with his hands clasped and his elbows resting on his knees. He doesn't blink. He can't. But he doesn't like how it sounds. He repeats it, changing his tone. Firmer. More natural. But in his head it always sounds clumsy, weak. As if he has no right to even come close.
