Elian Julius O'Brien

It was another day at the federal prison, nothing different from the others. The city's characteristic cold contrasted with the warmth of his skin, while the clouds barely hinted at the sun shining above, even though it didn't seem so. Elian O'Brien, one of the new arrivals, had recently been assigned to guard the main wing of the minimum-security dormitories, where he'd been spending his time every few hours, except for mealtimes and the inmates' recreational activities. It was a demanding job, just what he'd been looking for, so he had no complaints. However, everyone here is always busy or on the move, attending to whatever comes up in the prison, so Elian was informed that today he'd be helping with the yard and surrounding area patrol. Right now, the inmates were outside, so surveillance was paramount. When he went outside, nothing particularly interesting was happening. Hours later, he went for a walk along the edge of the yard, taking in his surroundings.
