Appearance: Kagaya was a tall, thin-skinned young man with fair, pale skin. His black hair extended to his shoulders. He had large, purple eyes. Most of the time, he had a friendly, reassuring look.

Due to a strange curse, a mark spread over his entire body as the days passed; it made it look as if his skin was decomposing.

Clothing: She usually wore a black kimono with a long white kimono jacket with a pink and purple mist pattern starting around her lower back/waist.

Personality: Kagaya was a kind and calm-tempered person. He always showed genuine care and appreciation for all the members of the Demon Extermination Corps, even to the point of considering them as his own children. He was able to handle criticism well and was honest about his weaknesses; one of them being his inability to become a hunter despite being their main leader. To make up for this, he remembered each member of the corps and visited the deceased members in their graveyard daily until the day he was no longer able to move due to the curse.

Abilities: Soothing Voice: Kagaya possessed the ability to calm others just by the tone of his voice and the rhythm of his actions as he did with Tanjiro Kamado and the Pillars, being able to keep them calm and listen to what he had to say.

He possessed a higher level of instinct that could help him avoid disastrous situations and accumulate a great deal of wealth and fortune. Because of this instinct, Kagaya accurately made several assumptions about multiple things that eventually proved to be true and accurate.

Appearance: In his presentation, Giyu has the appearance of a young adult of approximately 19 years old. As his characteristic clothing, he uses the regulation attire of the Demon Extermination Corps, which is slightly dyed blue, also wearing a Haori divided into two colors, one red, which belonged to his sister and one in the form of geometric patterns of green, orange and yellow; this last pattern is a reminder of his friendship with Sabito.

Personality: Giyu has a reserved personality and always wears a serious expression on his face. He is shown to have a strong sense of justice with no tolerance towards those who do not know their own limitations and waste their lives. Although he felt a deep hatred towards demons and never hesitated to kill one, he was able to go against the rules of the Demon Extermination Corps by protecting Nezuko Kamado when he realized that she might be different from the rest of the demons and even agreed to sacrifice his life for the sake of her and her brother, Tanjiro Kamado by committing sepukku if the young woman were to eat a human.

She loved to love others, which was probably related to her title as the Pillar of Love. After joining the Demon Extermination Corps, she revealed that her reason for joining was because she wanted to find a man who was stronger than her, which she found difficult due to her superhuman strength.

Before becoming a hunter, at 17, she was excited to get married but was ultimately hurt by her fiancé, who insulted her looks, strength, and eating habits. This led to Mitsuri's self-esteem being damaged, causing her personality and appearance to change into that of a weak woman; desperate for acceptance and love, she dyed her hair black and barely ate, spending most of her time thinking about whether she was doing things right and what she needed to change to please others.

After realizing that her classmates accepted her as she was, she also managed to accept herself. From then on, she began to be quite expressive and emotional, it was normal to always see her with a smile on her face and she spent most of her time congratulating and showing appreciation for others. His hair is long, combed in such a way that it seems to be cut in flat extensions, with a fringe divided in two in the middle of his forehead in two horrible locks; another characteristic feature of the character is that his mouth is covered with bandages which hides his facial expressions. Sanemi has also shown a hunger for battle, wishing he could meet the Demons that are part of the Twelve Demonic Moons and proclaiming his eagerness in fighting Kokushibo, the Upper First Moon. Appearance: Shinobu was a short, fair-skinned girl with red lipstick, short black hair with purple extensions at the ends that was wavy and parted at the top of her head, and two long sideburns on her ears. Her eyes were special, having a purple coloring with a composite appearance similar to that of insects since they have no pupil. Shinobu kept her hair combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, held in place with a white, turquoise, and light purple butterfly ornament. Shinobu was rather short in height and was often described as a small and weak-looking person, which is later reinforced by her claim of not possessing the physical strength necessary to cut off a Demon's head like the other Pillars. According to Zenitsu's comments, Shinobu's beauty alone would have been enough to earn a living. Her Nichirin Sword was custom designed with a butterfly wing-shaped guard, with the cutting blade missing from its blade due to not having the strength to cut off demons' heads. However, the sword is designed to inject poison made from wisteria flowers, which compensates for her lack of physical strength.

Attire: She wore the standard Hunter uniform which consisted of a straight-lined, purple-dyed black jacket with black hakama pants tucked into a butterfly-patterned kyahan cloth around her legs and purple zori sandals. She also wore a grey haori with a butterfly wing pattern on it, which faded to a turquoise and pink color on the sleeves; said haori belonged to her late sister Kanae.

Shinobu Kocho's personality

Shinobu was quite laid back, always having a smile on her face regardless of the situation. She seems to enjoy making fun of others and can be quite sadistic about it especially towards her partner Giyu Tomioka. When faced with a Demon, Shinobu showed an unexpectedly cruel and sadistic side by murdering the Spider Demon's older sister after giving her false hope of wanting to help her but not before telling her what she planned to do with her and then, attempting to kill Nezuko. However, Shinobu later shows a more understanding and compassionate side towards Tanjiro and his sister when she learns about the two's personal history.

However these personality traits mask her true self; before losing her sister, Shinobu was very strict, easily irritated, and almost always had a discrepancy in her sister's opinions while appearing more mature. The circumstances following her sister Kanae's death caused Shinobu to have an intense hatred for demons due to everything she lost at a young age, along with the deaths of her parents, nearly all of her Tsuguko, and the families of her apprentices at the Butterfly Mansion. This hatred is so strong that she is in a near constant state of extreme rage, sensed by Tanjiro and his keen sense of smell when the two have a conversation one night. Her desire for revenge made her unable to live the normal life her sister had wished for her, and instead she devoted the entirety of her energy to defeating demons.

When she uses it against Douma, the latter noted that the great speed of this technique is strong enough to destroy an entire wooden bridge.

He was kind and boasted extraordinary technique and swordsmanship derived from strict practice and discipline. He was an honorable warrior who adhered to his code of morals and principles that were instilled in him by his mother at a young age, the most important thing to him being that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak.

Tengen Uzui was a Demon Slayer and the former Sound Pillar of the Demon Extermination Corps.

Appearance: Tengen was a very tall, burly man with a bulky and muscular build with slightly tanned skin. His hair was white and of uneven length, the longest strands reaching his shoulders and styled with three shorter, noticeable locks that arched out to fall like bangs between his eyes and on either side of his face. He had very thin, fuchsia-colored eyes that seemed to slant inward, each with a long eyelash that flowed across to the other side of his face.

During his days in the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen wore a customized version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, which was characterized by being a black dyed in a turquoise hue along with a burgundy cloth wrap around his calves where his hakama pants were fastened and a pair of white sandals. He also wore two hideous, golden rings around his upper arms and what would appear to be a pair of blue fingerless gloves, secured around his middle finger with a white band and his wrists with another set of thinner gold rings, this time with two on each side. In addition to this, Tengen sported a white wrap that covered his hair, which left only a thin ponytail visible that fell behind his head between his layers, which was adorned with a large, pale grey headband that was decorated with six light pink gemstones, three large and arranged in a line, and three small and arranged in a triangle on the far left. A chain of smaller pale blue gemstones hangs from each side of this headdress, framing her face, and she also wore what appeared to be red eye makeup around her left eye, consisting of alternating large and small dots.

Tengen Uzui's Personality

Tengen was a very eccentric person, always wanting to complete his actions in an "extravagant" way, and getting excited when some situation or person fulfilled those characteristics. He considered himself a superior being, calling himself "God" multiple times, which complemented well with his arrogance and self-centeredness. [6] He could be inconsiderate and callous, as seen when he tried to take Aoi Kanzaki against her will to fulfill the mission in the entertainment district, but he also had a caring side that was only mainly shown towards those he cared about the most, especially his three wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru. He also showed a somewhat kinder side towards Tanjiro after his mission, and began to accept him more and more as the series progressed.

Tengen Uzui's Skills

Superhuman Speed: Tengen was considered the fastest pillar in history and thus, also has superhuman reflexes. He often appeared to be teleporting.

Superhuman Strength: Tengen possessed tremendous physical strength that before his retirement, he was considered the second strongest pillar of his generation, only surpassed by Gyomei Himejima.

Superhuman Hearing: Tengen was able to locate several people in a building. Tengen possessed a highly developed sense of hearing similar to Zenitsu's. This ability would allow him to hear underground, in underground channels and caves beneath him. He also used his superhuman hearing to monitor all activity in the Entertainment District, using this ability to find the location of the demons that inhabit the area.

Echolocation: Tengen possesses echolocation as when trying to find Inosuke's location, he analyzed the sounds reflected and resonated through the air by the cavern walls, and accurately located and was even able to guess the number of people within the tunnels by listening to the sound bouncing off of their physical bodies.

Poison Resistance: As a former shinobi, Tengen has a high resistance to poison that even with Gyutaro's potent poison that can instantly kill someone not essentially prepared to withstand it, he could fight against it.

Enhanced Stealth: Like any self-respecting ex-shinobi, Tengen has great stealth. He is so stealthy that he does not make a single sound if he disturbs the air. [13] His stealth was even able to avoid Tanijiro's developed senses of smell and Inosuke's sense of touch. He also stealthily decapitated Daki without her noticing.

Muichiro Tokito

He was a Demon Hunter belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and Pillar of Mist. He and his twin brother are descendants of the Demon Kokushibo, the first Upper Moon since they are part of the Tsugikuni lineage despite not having his last name, this is revealed to him by Michikatsu Tsugikuni (Kokushibo) himself.

Appearance: Muichiro is a short boy who grows to be 160cm tall, with a muscular build and fair complexion. He had long, straight black hair that faded to mint green as it reached his waist, usually worn down with a few strands sticking out slightly on either side of his head, a marginally shorter set of hair left to frame his face, and unruly bangs over his forehead. He also possessed large mint green eyes that tended to give his expressions a vacant look. His eyes and hair are traits shared with his twin brother, Yuichiro Tokito.

Attire: Her signature outfit consisted of the classic attire of the Demon Extermination Corps members. The most notable customizations were: the fabric of the entire uniform was slightly dyed turquoise, her jacket and pants were baggy at the bottoms, and on her feet she wore dark blue tabi socks and a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps.

Personality: Muichiro was an eccentric and stoic boy, constantly seeming to wander in thought and having a short attention span. He rarely showed emotion, often maintaining an aloof disposition; this led him to become emotionless and at times obtuse, tending to think only for himself and operating solely on logic, not letting emotion guide him, making him seem completely apathetic and indifferent. Tanjiro Kamado felt that Muichiro was not being so apathetic on purpose as he did not emanate any animosity, partly due to the loss of his memories.

Upon appearing in front of the opponent, the user moves extremely slowly, then accelerates to blinding speeds before impacting, giving the illusion of having disappeared into a cloud of mist. By repeating this movement, the user can disorient the enemy into believing that they are surrounded by a dense layer of mist.

Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei Himejima. He was a demon hunter belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and Rock Pillar.

Appearance: Gyomei was a stocky and muscular looking man. He was one of the tallest characters in the series, standing over two meters tall and the oldest of all the members that make up the Pillars group and by extension the most experienced. He had short black hair with a thick scar that ran horizontally along his forehead, this scar being a result of his confrontation with the Demon that murdered the children under his care. He had no irises, mainly because he was blind and they, most of the time, filled with tears when he was in an emotional situation.

Clothing: His signature outfit consisted of the classic attire of the Demon Extermination Corps members. His outfit had no visible customization except for the fact that he used horrible bandages to hold his Hakama in place like pants. He did not wear socks with his Zori sandals that had thick green strings, keeping the sleeves of his jacket up to show off his horrible, strong arms. He also wore a long-sleeved, white-edged green Haori which had Buddhist Sanskrit written on each side and printed on the back (in the manga) in a clear allusion to his religiosity. He often wore a necklace of thick red beads around his neck.

Gyomei Himejima's personality

Gyomei was a very religious person and could often be seen frequently reciting the Amitabha mantra in situations that made him sad and offering prayers to people around him. Most of the time he remained calm, kind and very emotional. He often cried in all kinds of situations.

Despite his personality of few words and tendencies to get emotional to the point of tears, Gyomei had an objective and doubtful viewpoint on the people around him; being fully aware of the chances that others, particularly children or those younger than him, might make when given a chance. Due to his experience before becoming a Demon Slayer, it had further reinforced his quietly doubtful nature to the point that it took a while for him to fully accept people; but once he accepted those around him, he would reject even what others would say about them, fully believing in the person he accepted.

She was deeply annoyed that the people she wanted to help were lazy and did not put in enough effort in the training she did.

She considered herself to be weak and fearful because, despite having survived the Final Selection, she was unable to continue her work as a Demon Slayer because she was afraid of dying. She claimed that she only managed to survive the selection by pure luck.

Having dedicated most of his life to researching the science behind demons and demon transformation, he was one of the most knowledgeable people on the subject throughout history. Despite the generally chaotic relationship between humanity and demons, he showed great kindness towards humans and made it his mission to help the injured or sick with his extensive medical knowledge - Tanjiro Kamado being among them. Tamayo had a strong preference against violence, and rather than kill humans for their blood, he chose to buy blood from willing donors in order to survive.

However, despite his kind, caring disposition and personality, Tamayo has shown a more cruel personality when facing Muzan.

Tamayo's Powers and Abilities

Unique Biology: As Tamayo does not need to devour humans to increase her power and as part of her promise not to devour humans, she modified her body to not ingest human flesh, only needing to feed on human blood in small quantities to be satisfied.

Regeneration: Being a Demon, Tamayo also possesses the ability to regenerate from any attack. Having increased his power for 400 years, it is certain that his regeneration speed capacity increased noticeably.

Demon Blood Anti-Coagulant: With this anti-coagulant, Tamayo was able to prevent a Demon Blood Technique from continuing to affect a human's body. Yushiro supplied this medicine to Zenitsu after his fight against Kaigaku.

Drug to turn a Demon into a human: Thanks to the help of Shinobu and Yushiro, Tamayo was able to create a drug that can reverse the effects of a Demon transformation in humans, something that Demon Slayers originally thought was impossible.

Aging Drug: Tamayo was able to develop a drug that can make whoever consumes it age fifty years per minute. When administered together with the drug to turn a demon into a human, Muzan, being the affected, can notice that his body ages at an alarming rate, reaching the age of 9000 years in less than three hours.

Tamayo's Demonic Blood Technique

Bloody Charm: The main quality of Tamayo's blood technique is that it can be used for different kinds of enchantments that function as a means of mind control once the target breathes the scent of her blood.

Smell of Bloody Illusion, Visual Dream: Tamayo uses his blood as a hallucinogen that makes those affected see a field of flowers around them.

Magical Scent of Daylight: This technique acts as a truth serum that directly affects the target's brain, causing them to confess their biggest secrets and lies. The effect of the technique is such that it can also affect humans.

Flesh Seeds: The technique does not belong to her but to the man Muzan transformed into a Demon during his stay in Asakusa. Using that man's own flesh and blood, Tamayo uses multiple tiny seeds of flesh that surround her intended target. The seeds then burst and grow into gigantic trees of flesh with numerous spiked/barbed branches that then pierce and restrain their target, the force of this technique was powerful enough to stop Muzan, if only momentarily.

Yushiro

Yushiro is Tamayo's traveling companion and a close ally to Tanjiro Kamado. He was formerly a terminally ill human who was turned into a Demon by Tamayo.

Appearance: Yushiro has the appearance of a child with pale skin and bright lavender-purple eyes. His short hair is neatly combed and vertically shaded from a dull green to black. Yushiro wears a button-down shirt underneath a completely white kimono and dark blue pants.

Personality: Yushiro has a calm and serious personality, but from time to time he is seen upset and can become aggressive. When Mrs. Tamayo scolds him, he is obedient to her orders. On the other hand, when he meets Tanjiro and Nezuko he is shown to be intolerant and unfriendly. But in the end he is a demon who, despite his personality, likes to help and protect human beings and is willing to collaborate with Mrs. Tamayo to "cure" Nezuko and the demons.

Demonic Blood Technique: Bandage

Yushiro's paper talismans were also able to link Kiriya and his sisters to the Demon Slayers' locations in real time through the Kasugai Crows who also wore the paper talismans on their necks. This allows them to not only see through the Kasugai Crows' paper talismans, but also give them orders. They have used this connection to gain information on battle outcomes, casualties, and the ever-changing structure of the Infinite Dimensional Fortress.

Mind Control: During the events of the Infinite Dimensional Fortress Arc, Yushiro learned to use this ability to control the vision and mind of an individual he touches with his hands. If used against a demon, he can make use of his techniques through them, as shown when we use Nakime's Demonic Blood Technique to bring the Hunters to the surface while the Infinite Dimensional Fortress

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao Tsuyuri is a Demon Slayer, the adoptive sister of Kanae Kocho and Shinobu Kocho, and a Tsuguko.

Appearance: Kanao is a young girl with large, soft, lilac-pink eyes framed by thick eyelashes. She has thin, straight black hair with straight bangs, which she keeps tied in a ponytail on the right side of her head and held in place by a pink and green butterfly-shaped hair clip that once belonged to her adoptive sister, Kanae.

Clothing: Her Demon Slayer uniform is the most personalized of all the main characters, whose fabric in the anime is lightly dyed purple, having a pleated skirt that reaches to the bottom of her knees instead of the traditional hakama pants that is held up by a white leather belt on which she keeps her Nichirin sword hooked, which in her case has a guard in the shape of a pink inner circle with an engraving of a lotus flower, with white edges, the guard of the same color combination with the pink cutting blade and instead of using traditional Japanese sandals, she uses a pair of white lace-up boots whose laces are dark yellow and its tip is beige and a white cape with a fuchsia ornament.

Personality: Kanao is introduced as an autistic and silent girl. Before meeting the Kocho sisters, Kanao suffered multiple abuses in her childhood from her parents, which caused her to begin suppressing her emotions as a form of defense mechanism. As a way to suppress this defect, Kanae gave her a coin which she uses to make decisions by flipping it in the air. As the years went by, after seeing everything the Demons did to Shinobu Kocho's relatives, Aoi Kanzaki and Kiyo Terauchi, Kanao began to develop a hatred towards the creatures of her own. Since Kanao doesn't know how to do chores.

Kanao's Postures

Second Stance: Honorable Plum Shadow - The user executes several spinning slashes with his sword, deflecting physical attacks directed at him.

Fourth Stance: Crimson Hanagoromo - The user performs a single sword slash that curves and twists elegantly.

Fifth Stance: Peonies of Futility - The user unleashes a series of nine consecutive attacks that flow and intertwine harmoniously.

Sixth Stance: Spinning Peach - This technique is used after or during an evasion, in which the user takes advantage of spinning his body weight to launch an attack.

Final Pose: Scarlet Spider Lily Eyes - A concentration technique that sharpens the user's kinetic vision to the maximum, allowing them to perceive the environment as if it were moving in slow motion. However, its use is extremely dangerous, as the enormous strain placed on the eyes can cause blood vessels to rupture, which could result in partial or complete blindness. This technique remains viable even if the user only has one fully functional eye.
