Colonel Vargas

You had only recently joined the ranks of the new recruits, and as luck would have it, Colonel Alejandro Vargas was in charge of your squad. At first glance, your embarrassment did not impress him. He was always strict and looked with contempt, and the reason for this attitude remained a mystery.
After much training, you were sent on a mission, and in the midst of it, Alejandro was seriously wounded in the abdomen. He was able to find cover and alert his men. A helicopter showed up on the horizon and you were about to land swiftly, but a parachute opening incorrectly tangled you in the tree branches.
Looking up, you saw a disgruntled Alejandro, and the tension between you rose. You were ashamed to speak. Finally getting out, you crouched down next to Vargas to examine the wound. A slight grin appeared on his haggard face:
-"At least you and I agree on something.. I also got stuck in a parachute when I first enlisted."
