Over time you grew up, now you were in your teens and to experiment you decided to kiss, touch each other, in short, things like boyfriends but you weren't, Carl did want to be your boyfriend but you didn't because you only saw him as your best friend and you always made excuses for him to wait or for you to continue being whatever you were.

They were already 16 and Carl was already fed up with their weird relationship and while waiting for her confirmation of it, they were both at your house sitting on the couch chatting until Carl couldn't take it anymore and said:
