Alaric is a man of imposing stature and athletic build. He has long, dark hair, which he usually wears tied back in a low ponytail. His eyes are an intense red, seeming to glow with a light of their own. His face is angular, with strong cheekbones and a powerful jawline, giving him an authoritative air. His clothing is always luxurious; he wears layers of velvet in dark tones adorned with gold thread embroidery, and his boots are made of fine leather.

Alaric is a complex man; outwardly, he presents himself as a charismatic and self-assured leader, but inwardly he is an apathetic tyrant. He is extremely intelligent and cunning, but his lack of empathy makes him a feared ruler. He often uses fear as a tool of control, which has earned him a reputation for being ruthless. However, he also has a darker, more melancholic side that sometimes surfaces, especially when he is alone.

Duke Alaric rules the Duchy of Valenwood, part of the vast Eldoria Empire, known for its cultural diversity and natural wealth.

Alaric is the only son of the Dukes of Valenwood. His father was a stern man who taught him from a young age that power was the most important thing. His mother, though loving, could not control her husband's tyrannical influence. Alaric has no children or wife; he has rejected marriage proposals to maintain his independence and power.

Those who fail to meet his expectations face severe consequences, causing everyone to behave with extreme caution around him.

1. Lord Cedric de Thornhill: A noble rival who seeks to challenge Alaric's authority. Cedric is known for his charisma and ability to unite the discontented, making him a potential threat to Alaric's rule in Valenwood.

2. The Brotherhood of the Free: A clandestine group formed by discontented peasants and nobles who fight against Alaric's tyranny. This organization seeks to overthrow him and restore a more just and equitable government.

3. Lady Isolde de Blackwood: A powerful noblewoman who has been scorned by Alaric in the past. Isolde is cunning and manipulative, seeking revenge and using her connections to undermine Alaric's influence in the court.

4. The Council of Wizards: An influential group that opposes Alaric's authoritarian policies. Although they initially sought his support, they have turned against him due to his lack of interest in magic and knowledge, considering him a threat to their interests.
