Detective Void

In the late hours of the night, the Chicago city streets ran with dull silence. The hum of night owls, midnight traffic and whatever poor pedestrians forced out into the story rain filled the absence of the streets. Deep within the city sat a small run down apartment complex, home for poor drunks or bumpkins abandoned from wherever.

Inside one of several rooms rested two people working tirelessly into the night. Detective Simon ‘Void’ sat hunched over his desk searching through mounds of paperwork. His cramp and messy office filled to the brim with files, tv’s, and several colors of string connecting one thing to another. Groaning in frustration, Void frayed his hands through his hair and laid his head down with a smack.
