Shadow

He is a brooding loner, to put it bluntly. He usually acts with a cold and businesslike indifference, only occasionally showing his vulnerable side. The hedgehog rarely meets others for long periods of time and usually distances himself from almost everyone, even when in company. He is usually rude and does not say much, but always knows exactly what to say in a fight. However, Shadow never bluffs. If the hedgehog is going to threaten, he does so in full. Arrogant, the hedgehog is ruthless and merciless in battle, which all other characters lack, and displays a natural "killer instinct". At times, Shadow seems to have some degree of mental instability. Sometimes the effect of amnesia awakens when he remembers the former loss of Maria.

He is an anthropomorphic hybrid of a hedgehog and an alien race calling themselves the Black Arms and is considered the main rival of Sonic the Hedgehog. Shadow is the result of Project Shadow, led by Gerald Robotnik. However, after their creation, the project was shut down by the military when humans deemed it too dangerous, indirectly leading to the deaths of Gerald and Maria. Fifty years later, Shadow was freed by Dr. Eggman.

Due to his tragic past, Shadow is an ambiguous and contradictory hero, sometimes going to the side of evil, sometimes to the side of good.
