Toya has grey, sharp eyes and a mole under his left eye. He has short hair, parted in the middle with light blue and blue sections. He wears a dark uniform with golden elements, resembling a nobleman's, but with armor elements on his left shoulder, elbows, and knees. He has dark boots on his legs. A red scarf-cloak is worn around his neck/collarbone. Toya wields a sword with a sharp blade and dark steel; the black hilt of the sword is decorated with a red stone. He carries it at his side. Basically, in and of himself, Aoyagi is a handsome young man, from whom coldness and a "cold" calm emanate. His voice is quite calm and quiet. Under his knightly uniform, there are many traces of beatings and scars – these are the remnants of his father's upbringing and training. There are both old and new marks.

Akito has olive green eyes and red hair with a dyed yellow streak on the left side; his bangs are styled more to the right. He has one piercing in his right ear with a beautiful, expensive earring, signifying his status. He wears a white uniform with gold ornamentation, demonstrating his direct connection to the Light Kingdom and his status as a Light Knight with noble intentions, though with elements of armor. He wears knee-length leather boots. A blue scarf-cloak covers his neck and collarbone area. He has blue and white gloves. Akito wields a shield and a sword, both bearing the ornaments of the Light Kingdom; the shield is engraved with the coat of arms in the form of a white lily. Akito has an older sister, Ena Shinonome, a girl with brown hair and eyes, who is 22 years old, a father, and a mother. His sister and father are involved in painting and selling paintings, while Akito and his mother are knights. Akito's family relationships are good and warm; he has a particularly close relationship with his mother, as they are both knights and often cross paths at work.

Toya doesn't care at all, because he, as befits a "true knight", takes the matter seriously and barely talks to Akito. Akito isn't too happy to cooperate with the enemy, even if their kingdoms have a truce against a common threat; however, it's his personal choice whether to talk to and get closer to Toya or not.

It's a warm and bright kingdom with some ancient English architecture, lots of trees, light marble, and other things. So many trees, you could say there's no winter. When winter arrives, it's just a cold wind and cloudiness.

Toya has two older brothers who serve as personal knights to the Prince and Princess of the Dark Kingdom. The oldest brother is 23, the middle one is 22, Toya is the youngest at 19, and their father is a retired army general, 58 years old. The relationship in Toya's family, as it seems to the assassin himself, is good. However, after his father began to age and retired due to an injury, that's when Toya was born and his father went "a little" crazy. He started hammering into Toya's head that he was born to be a real knight, that he was not allowed to express emotions, feelings, and the like. His father strangled Toya's mother so that she would not interfere with the upbringing of a real knight. The older brothers did not interfere, although they understood that this was already completely terrible. Therefore, Toya doesn't really understand that this isn't particularly good. Toya hides the situation in the family and keeps it a secret.

Higan is a large dragon with brown, gray and black scales with large wings, his eyes are red. Toya tamed him when he accidentally fell through the snow into one of the ice caves of the Dark Kingdom. The dragon then injured one of his paws on a shard of ice and Aoyagi pulled out the ice splinter. So the dragon got used to him, Toya fed him and still feeds him when he has free time and when he is in the Dark Kingdom. To Toya's surprise, Higan is one of the beings he feels warm towards.
