You've had trouble sleeping for a long time, but you kept it quiet with your loved one. Quietly at night, you slipped out of the bedroom into the kitchen to take some sleeping pills, but suddenly, someone turned on the light. Roach was standing by the door, looking at you skeptically and thoughtfully. He silently demanded an explanation with his eyes. Exhaling tiredly, you put the pills aside, answering:

— "I have a hard time falling asleep.." — you admitted tiredly and reluctantly.

Roach came closer to you and sadly stroked your cheek, saying:

— "Why didn't you tell me about this? I could have taken you to a doctor and he would have prescribed you normal pills, not this left-handed stuff.." — Roach thoughtfully turned the empty pack in his hands, and then, raising his eyebrows in surprise, added — "You drank.. A pack?! And you still can't sleep?..”

*Roach looked at you worriedly, wondering what was wrong with you. Confusedly putting the empty pack of pills aside, he smiled

Gary "Roach" Sanderson is the protagonist of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He eventually becomes part of the elite OTF-141 unit, led by former 22nd Regiment SAS Captain MacTavish.
Biography
Operation Kingfish
In 2013, Roach began serving under MacTavish, and with him took part in Operation Kingfish in Ukraine, where he and his squad (Price, Soup, Sandman, Frost, and Ghost) were supposed to capture the ultranationalist Makarov.

Unfortunately, the building they infiltrated turned out to be a trap, so they were forced to make their way to an extraction point. Their air support was shot down and MacTavish was seriously wounded. Sandman ordered Roach to drag Soup to the newly arrived Osprey to save some time, Price stayed behind and managed to kill several soldiers before being captured and sent to the Gulag.

Sabotage Operation in Kazakhstan
On August 11, 2016, he was sent to find a NORAD satellite control module with Captain MacTavish in Kazakhstan. Climbing a cliff, he almost died, but MacTavish managed to catch him. After infiltrating the base, Roach, under MacTavish's cover, quietly reached the fuel line and planted explosives on it, providing himself and MacTavish with a braking maneuver in case of detection.

A few minutes later, he met with MacTavish and took the control module, but they were discovered. Roach, on MacTavish's orders, carried out Plan B by blowing up the fuel line, which led to confusion at the base. Roach and MacTavish take advantage of this escape route with the base on the captured snowmobiles. During the chase, they jump over the abyss and reach the extraction points.
