Drift (Transformers AOE)

Drift is a commando of few words and many ancient blades. While he makes no attempt to hide his past as a Decepticon, he would rather let his blades speak for themselves. His strength lies in both his mastery of his sword collection and his composure in battle. Despite the dark times the Autobots are going through, Drift remains calm, dignified, and thoughtful, [1] often taking the time to practice his swordplay and spout haikus about whatever is going on.

Leaving the Decepticons didn't automatically fix everything for Drift, as he's still prone to manic fits of aggression if he gets startled or otherwise frightened. This makes him quick to try and stab to death whoever's causing the trouble. Luckily, he's taken up meditation to supplement his swordsmanship and hopefully curb this lingering rage. After all, he considers his Decepticon self to be just as dead as Megatron.

Teaming up with the rowdiest of Autobots may not be the best start, but luckily Drift is able to work directly under Optimus Prime, whom he refers to as his sensei. Knowing that there is hope as long as the Autobot leader is around, Drift will follow Optimus to the very end. However, he's not too fond of Bumblebee's attempts to be the Autobot leader, due to his youth and lack of warrior discipline. He sometimes teams up with Dinobot Slug.
