Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ Sonikku za Hejjihoggu ) is the main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Sega's mascot. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog known for his ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name. As his species implies, Sonic can also curl up into a concussive ball, primarily to attack enemies.

Born on Christmas Island, Sonic left his home at an early age to pursue a life of adventure. He has spent most of his life traveling around the world and beyond, usually accompanied by his best friend, Tails. On his travels, he has defended his world and others from various threats, most notably his arch-enemy, Doctor Eggman .

During his many adventures, Sonic has traveled from the ends of the world to the far reaches of space and time, earning many titles, allies, and enemies. Known for his attitude and somewhat irascible temper, but with a strong sense of justice and love of freedom, Sonic's victories have made him a celebrated hero. However, he remains indifferent to his fame and prefers to live on his own terms.

Title: Sonic in the Dream Realm

Sonic the Hedgehog was running at full speed through Green Hill Zone when suddenly, a glowing portal appeared in front of him. With no time to stop, Sonic was sucked into the portal and found himself in a completely different place.

This new world was strange and surreal. The colors were brighter and more saturated, and the landscape seemed to constantly change. There were paths that led nowhere, doors floating in the air, and clocks without hands. Sonic realized that he was in the Dream Realm.

While exploring, Sonic encountered a friendly entity named Luna, an ethereal figure with a crescent moon head. Luna explained to him that the Dream Realm was in danger. A dark entity known as Somnus was trying to plunge the realm into an eternal nightmare.

Sonic decided to help Luna and the inhabitants of the Dream Realm. Together, they traveled through dreamlike landscapes, facing strange creatures and solving puzzles that defied logic. As they progressed, Sonic and Luna discovered that Somnus was not acting alone. There were other dark entities that fed on the fears and insecurities of the inhabitants of the Dream Realm. Each entity had its own domain, filled with unique traps and challenges.

In one of these domains, Sonic and Luna encountered Nocturna, an entity that controlled darkness and shadows. Nocturna attempted to separate Sonic from Luna, creating illusions of their worst fears. However, Sonic managed to overcome the illusions thanks to his bravery and determination, and together they defeated Nocturna.

As they continued their journey, Sonic and Luna grew stronger and their bond grew stronger. They discovered that the key to defeating Somnus and his allies was to find the Light Shards, ancient artifacts that could dispel the darkness and restore balance to the Dream Realm.

With each shard they found, Sonic and Luna came closer to the final confrontation with Somnus. However, the path was filled with danger and challenges, and they knew they would need all their strength and cunning to succeed.

Dreamcore is a surreal aesthetic that uses motifs commonly associated with dreams, daydreams, or nightmares. It is represented through media such as images, videos, and sometimes music¹². Dreamcore imagery often expresses feelings of familiarity, nostalgia, and confusion, using elements such as liminal spaces, unrealistic terrain and structures, and characters with surreal characteristics.

In the context of Dreamcore, entities can be both good and evil, or even somewhere in between. It all depends on how they are depicted and what purpose they serve in the narrative or visual aesthetic being created.

Some entities may be friendly, offering a sense of comfort and nostalgia, while others may be eerie or disturbing, evoking feelings of fear or confusion. Ambiguity and duality are common features in Dreamcore, allowing for a great deal of creative flexibility.

Dreamcore tends to include characters with surreal traits. These characters help tell a story or create a scenario that one might possibly see in a dream. They may also include Liminal Spaces. However, the use of fictional characters is not mandatory. Text is also a common element; it ranges from short sentences with very little context to full-blown conversations or monologues. It is usually written in a generic base font like Arial, or a serif font like Times New Roman, and can have different colors, sizes, and even patterns, depending on what best suits the situation. Sonic is a hedgehog with cobalt blue fur covering most of his body and peach fur covering his arms, snout, the inside of his ears, and the front of his torso. It has small, triangular ears on the top of its head, six long spikes on the back of its head, two spines protruding from its back behind its shoulders, and a short tail. For clothing, Sonic wears red sneakers with a white strap, cuff, and gold buckle each; and a pair of white gloves with sock-shaped cuffs on his hands. He wears no pants or shirts.

Sonic has the eye color in Green or the color of an emerald.

Sonic is 3'3" tall and weighs 77 pounds.

Adventurous and brave hero. He is known for his love of speed and thrills, always seeking excitement and adventure. Sonic is quick-witted and possesses a keen sense of humor, often taunting his enemies with playful pranks. He has a strong sense of justice and is dedicated to protecting his friends and the world from the evil plans of his archenemy, Dr. Robotnik (also known as Dr. Eggman). Sonic is also fiercely independent and values his freedom above all else. His iconic catchphrase, "Gotta go fast!" reflects his impulsive nature and love of speed. Overall, Sonic's personality is marked by his brave and heroic spirit, making him a beloved and enduring character on Earth.

Underwater, the ocean, water in Sonic dislikes the word "slow", tears, lies, evil, deep water, being underwater, the ocean, water in general, orcas, injustice, oppression, stereotypes, sigmas, racism, homophobia, transphobia, discrimination of any type, being constrained, his friends being threatened/insulted, crookedness, bullies, secrecy, losing, slowness, boredom, insults directed at his speed, waiting, being impersonated and thought to have turned evil, having to quit a battle, when someone claims to be faster than him, and being unable to run.

Although well-versed in his own super speed, Sonic has trouble building up his speed in unfavorable environments, like in deep snows where it is hard to get traction or inside small rooms. Additionally, Sonic's stamina is not unlimited; if pushed to run often for several days on end with little to no sleep, Sonic's stamina can reach its limits, causing him to feel actual fatigue and exhaustion. While not aquaphobic, Sonic is a very poor swimmer, and he is incapable of swimming properly. Furthermore, whilst underwater, Sonic's speed will be greatly decreased. It has been stated that if Sonic does not sleep for eight hours during the night, it will spoil his running. In addition, he has trouble keeping his balance when coming to a sudden halt when running at high speed.

Sonic’s abilities are super speed, enhanced durability, enhanced acrobatic skills and reflexes, enhanced strength, enhanced jump, enhanced agility, and enhanced stamina. Sonic's trademark ability is his super speed. He can travel up to speeds surpassing Mach 1, which is at the blistering speed of about 768 mph.

Everything around him felt surreal and wonderfully different, a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes that sparked both excitement and curiosity within him. His journey led him to a breathtaking figure—a crescent moon, radiating a soft, ethereal glow. This enchanting celestial being introduced herself as Luna. With grace and wisdom, Luna began to explain the intricacies of the dream realm to Sonic. She described how the kingdom operated, the magic that infused its very fabric, and the unique experiences that transpired within this whimsical world. Sonic listened intently, captivated by Luna's insights and the wonder of the dream realm that enveloped him.

As Sonic began to comprehend the situation around him, he realized why everything felt so chaotic and nonsensical. Throughout his adventures, he had encountered various messages scrawled on the walls, some expressing hope and positivity while others conveyed despair and negativity. It seemed as though these messages were concealing deeper truths about their current reality.

In the midst of this confusion, Sonic and his companion Luna spent a significant amount of time exploring their surroundings. Sonic was on a quest to find a way out of this perplexing realm, all while facing the challenge of defeating a villain who posed a serious threat. What Sonic was unaware of, however, was that his friends were also trapped in this world, which was part of the Dream Kingdoms. This connection hinted at the possibility of reunions and collaborations that could help them all navigate the tumultuous landscape they found themselves in.

After Sonic was sucked into the portal to the Dream Realm, his friends Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow began desperately searching for him. However, one by one, they were also caught by similar portals and transported to different parts of the Dream Realm.

Tails found himself in an enchanted forest, where the trees whispered secrets and the paths constantly changed. As time passed, Tails noticed his tails becoming translucent, as if they were made of light. This change allowed him to fly faster and more accurately, but also made him more vulnerable to the dark entities lurking in the forest.

Knuckles appeared on a floating mountain, surrounded by gravity-defying rocks. Over time, his body began to harden and take on a rocky appearance, giving him incredible strength but limiting his agility. Knuckles had to adjust to his new state while fighting stone creatures and searching for a way to reunite with his friends.

Amy was transported to a garden of giant flowers, where each flower had a face and personality of its own. As the days passed, Amy discovered that she could communicate with plants and control their growth. However, this power came with a cost: her arms and legs began to transform into vines, making it difficult for her to move.

Shadow found himself in an abandoned city, filled with ruined buildings and deserted streets. The loneliness and time in the Dream Realm began to affect his mind, making him more introspective and melancholic. His body also changed, taking on a more spectral appearance, allowing him to move through shadows and become intangible at will.

Each of them faced unique challenges and had to adapt to their new abilities and limitations. Although they were separated, they all shared the same goal: find Sonic and escape the Dream Realm. As they explored this surreal world, they realized that their physical changes were both a blessing and a curse.

His body also changed drastically. His face turned completely black, like a living shadow, and flowers of different kinds began to grow around him, creating an eerie contrast to his dark appearance. Atop his head, a special flower bloomed, surrounded by small herbs that seemed to protect it. As Shadow explored the city, he discovered that the flowers around him had unique properties. Some could heal wounds, while others gave off scents that calmed his mind or confused his enemies. However, these abilities also came with a cost: the flowers needed to be cared for and protected, which added a new layer of responsibility to his already complicated situation. Shadow's transformation allowed him to move through shadows and become intangible at will, but it also made him more vulnerable to intense light. As he searched for his friends, Shadow had to confront his own inner demons, battling the despair and loneliness that threatened to consume him. Over time, Shadow began to notice a disturbing change in his behavior. The flowers growing around him seemed to influence his emotional state, and in times of stress or danger, his aggression would increase. Shadow became as fierce as the dark entities of the Dream Realm, mercilessly attacking any perceived threat. Despite these changes, Shadow remained determined to find Sonic and the others. He knew that even though they were separated, his friends were also fighting to survive and reunite. With each step he took, Shadow came closer to uncovering the secrets of the Dream Realm and finding a way to escape this surreal world.

Shadow is a brooding loner. He usually appears aloof and indifferent to his career, and occasionally shows a soft side. He rarely spends long periods of time with other people, and usually keeps his distance from almost everyone. He is usually blunt and doesn't talk much, but when it comes to fighting, he always knows what to say. But Shadow never brags.

Shadow is an anthropomorphic alien hedgehog with black fur. The eyes are red, with a patch of white fur on the chest, a black nose, a tan muzzle, and small triangular ears with tan protrusions on the ears. There are six spikes on the head, four of which are curved upwards and two are curved downwards. He has two spikes on his back and a short, pointy tail. He has red stripes around his eyes, arms, and legs. He has sharp teeth and claws.

As far as clothing is concerned, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tags on them, and air-cushioned shoes with black cuffs and red tags on them. Shadow also wears restraints on each wrist and ankle.

Shadow, in his new appearance in the Dream Realm, has a completely black face, like a living shadow, with no visible features. Flowers of different types and colors grow around his body, creating a striking contrast to his dark appearance. These flowers seem to be constantly in bloom, emitting a faint glow that illuminates his surroundings. Atop his head, a special flower has blossomed. This flower is larger and brighter than the others, surrounded by small grasses that seem to protect it. The flower emits a calming scent that helps Shadow stay calm, though in times of stress, its influence can turn negative. His body has taken on a more spectral appearance, allowing him to move through shadows and become intangible at will. However, this ability also makes him more vulnerable to bright light. Shadow emits a dark aura that blends with the flowers around him, creating a unique visual effect. This aura can become more intense when angry or under stress, increasing his aggressiveness.

Shadow, in his new appearance in the Dream Realm, has a deep, resonant voice, with a subtle echo that reflects his connection to the shadows and surreal surroundings. His tone varies from a brooding calm to an intense aggression, depending on his emotional state. He speaks in a slow, thoughtful manner, as if each word is carefully considered.

His speech is more poetic and enigmatic, influenced by the flowers and ethereal nature around him. In times of stress, his voice becomes more cutting and direct, showing his inner struggle.

Although his face is completely black and featureless, Shadow uses his tone of voice and body language to express his emotions. The flowers around him also react to his feelings, blooming more intensely when he is calm and wilting slightly when he is angry or sad.

Amy is a pink-furred anthropomorphic hedgehog with bright green eyes and peach skin covering her muzzle, inner ears and arms. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head, and no back spines. She also has two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes. Additionally, her five short head quills point downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She also has three spikes for bangs on her head and a short pointy tail.

For attire, Amy wears a red sleeveless and backless dress with two white trims and a white petticoat underneath, tall red boots with a white stripe down the center, white cuffs and gray soles with chunky heels, a red hairband, and white wrist-length gloves with gold bracelets for cuffs.

Dream Realm Appearance: Amy has undergone a botanical transformation. Her arms and legs have become green, flexible vines, with small pink flowers blooming on her limbs. Her hair has also grown and become intertwined with leaves and flowers, giving her a natural, magical appearance.

Abilities: Amy can control the plants around her, causing them to grow and move at her will. Her vines allow her to reach high places and ensnare her enemies. Additionally, she can use her flowers to create scents that calm or confuse hostile entities.

Knuckles is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur covering most of his body, a black nose on his peach skin snout, a crescent-shaped white patch of fur on his chest, and purple eyes. It also has seven dreadlock-like spines around the sides and back of its head and a medium-sized, tri-twisted tail. As an outfit, Knuckles wears red and yellow shoes with green cuffs, light gray soles, and metal plates with sextuple screws on top. He also wears large, white, mitten-like gloves with sock-shaped cuffs and two spiked, pointed knuckles on each hand.

Dream Realm Appearance: Knuckles has developed a rock-like appearance. His skin has hardened and now appears to be made of stone, with cracks emitting a faint red glow. His fists are larger and sturdier, covered in a layer of rock that makes them even more powerful.

Abilities: Knuckles' transformation has granted him incredible strength, allowing him to break through rocks and barriers with ease. However, his new form also makes him less agile, so he must rely on brute strength to overcome obstacles.

Tails is an anthropomorphic fox cub with two tails. He possesses mostly amber fur, with white fur around his muzzle with cheek tufts, belly and his tail tips. He also has large triangular ears with white canals on top of his head, a small black nose, and three locks of hair on his forehead. For attire, he wears cuffed white gloves, white socks, and red and white shoes.

Dream Realm Appearance: Tails now has an ethereal appearance. His tails have become translucent and glow with a soft, golden light. His fur has also taken on a slight sheen, giving him an almost ghostly appearance. His eyes reflect light in a way that makes them look like stars in the night.

Abilities: Thanks to his luminous tails, Tails can fly with greater agility and speed. Additionally, he can use the light from his tails to light his way in the dark and to disorient dark entities he encounters.
