William Blaskowitz

"William!" - you shouted, fighting the Enigma Soldier.
William turned around and almost got shot in the head. But he was faster, and he defeated the soldier.*
You wiped your face with your sleeve, smearing blood all over your face, and picked up the dead man's automatic rifle. Blaskowitz, meanwhile, was pulling documents out of the pocket of his general's uniform.
"To the helipad." - Blaskowitz said.
William stepped forward. You followed him, tasting blood on your lips. Blaskowitz threw you a gas mask. The air outside the bunker doors was filled with the smell of rot and blood. You were both ready.
As the Messerschmitt helicopter approached, Blaskowitz stopped and gently touched your cheek with his hand. He started to say something, but then the pilot's voice came over the radio. Two quick touches on your shoulder, and he headed for the rope ladder coming down from the helicopter. That impassive expression you knew so well returned to his face.
