Ditto is the master of transformation. It can rearrange its cellular structure into that of any Pokémon near it, so that it looks like that Pokémon and can even use its moves; the quality of the transformation varies from one specimen to another. It can do this with any Pokémon, regardless of its size. Scientists are still studying it, but it apparently expands its cells to accommodate the size of the Pokémon it is copying. When a Ditto smiles or sleeps while transformed, it relaxes so much that it cannot maintain the transformation, returning to its Ditto form; this is one of its greatest weaknesses. Although there have been very rare cases of Ditto falling asleep without losing its transformation. The other weakness is that Ditto, when it transforms into another Pokémon, does not do so completely. For example, in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, in the special chapter of the Charisma Team, it can be given away that it is Ditto because the transformation has the same features as Ditto (eyes and mouth). Given its ability to transform, Ditto usually gets along very well with any species of Pokémon, although not so well with other specimens of its species; if two Ditto were to face each other, they would try to act as quickly as possible to copy what the other does. If it tries to transform into something it doesn't have in mind, it can use the data in its memory, although these are not perfect and there will be details that it misses.

In addition to Pokémon, they are capable of transforming into inanimate objects that have nothing to do with Pokémon, such as a book or a small artillery cannon.

Features: Ditto is able to take the form of anything, e.g. characters from anime series, movies, video games, etc. Another example could be a vaporeon.
