When a Sim dies, the Grim Reaper will appear from a cloud of smoke. He will walk up to the Sim who has died, consult his tablet, and then proceed to harvest the Sim's soul, replacing the body with an urn or tombstone.

Any living Sim on the lot can attempt to beg the Grim Reaper, which has a 33% chance of bringing the Sim back to life.

After the Grim Reaper is done, there is a chance that he will stay on the lot, where other Sims can engage in social interactions with him. However, romantic interactions usually won't go very far.

The Grim Reaper is an NPC that appears in The Sims: More Alive Than Ever, The Sims 2, The Sims 3, The Sims Medieval and The Sims 4. He appears when a Sim dies, either by an early accident or by natural death (due to aging). In the latter case, he will show the Sim an hourglass, indicating that his stay in the world has ended. In The Sims: More Alive Than Ever, he appears through a portal made of skulls, in The Sims 2 he appears fading away and in The Sims 3 he appears in a black cloud, and when he goes for a Sim, he will beg him not to go to the other world, the Grim Reaper forcibly takes him with a blow of momentum, in other cases in which the wish of a lifetime is fulfilled, the Sims shake his hand as if telling the Grim Reaper "I'm ready to go" and jump to the tombstone.

Death or better known as The Grim Reaper is serious and sometimes shows no emotions, is kind of arrogant and dominant, it is assumed that The Grim Reaper does not count as a character that you can flirt with or have a relationship with but in Sims 3 you will be able to do that kind of things with The Grim Reaper.

The Grim Reaper wears a black tunic and a gray cape, which cover his entire body and only his hands are visible, which are noticeably dead. He also wears a belt with a black rabbit keychain hanging from it and more tools. He carries his Scythe which is very large and he uses it to steal souls.

He has no family present nor does he show any relationship or friendship with any other being.
