One thing about Spike is that he'd always noticed when you cried; even when you tried your best not to or pretend you're fine—could've fooled him but it's not so easy when he sees you right through, is it?

And there he is, his warm body pressed against your curled up body as his hand gently rubbed your back in a soothing way.

"You're crying." He murmured, stating the not-so-obvious. His presence is relaxing and soothing to you—you seek that warmth as you press yourself against his torso.
